Lori Lynn Ball

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lori Lynn Ball, a cherished daughter, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, who left this world peacefully on April 9, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on December 18,1961, in San Bernardino, California, Lori moved to Richland, Washington during her childhood, where she established deep roots and became a lifelong resident. She graduated from Columbia High School in 1980, embarking on a journey that would touch many lives.

Lori’s greatest joy came from her family. She was the loving mother of her son, Jacob Ball, and daughter, Whitney (Kyle) McKereghan, and a proud grandmother to Mollie Allenby, Olive McKereghan, and Teddy McKereghan. The warmth of her home resonated with laughter and love, embodying the true spirit of family. For an impressive 40 years, Lori dedicated her professional life to Framatone, where she forged lasting friendships and became a beloved colleague. She proudly earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Washington State University in 2010.

Lori was best known for her deep affection for the ocean, her love of camping, her unwavering patriotism, and her commitment to her family and church. She found joy in the simple things, always encouraging those around her to embrace togetherness and cherish the moments spent with loved ones.

Lori is survived by her children, Jacob and Whitney (Kyle); her grandchildren, Mollie, Olive, and Teddy; her sisters, Cindy Mashburn and Brenda (Jason) Killmer; and her nieces and nephews—Joel, Brian, Genevieve, Rebecca (Kevin), Melanie, and Lexi. She is preceded in death by her parents, Janet and Melvin Brinkerhoff, her father, Ronald Mashburn, and her brother Michael Mashburn.

In honor and remembrance of Lori, family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating her life. A viewing will be held at Events at Sunset on April 25, 2025, at 5:00 PM. We will gather for a Celebration of Life at the LDS Jadwin Building on April 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens with a Reception to follow at 111 Barth Avenue in Richland.

Memorial donations can be made in Lori’s name to the American Cancer Society.

  • It was so sad to learn of Lori’s passing today. For many years I interacted with her at Advanced Nuclear Fuels/Siemens/Framatome and she was always pleasant to work with, did her job exceptionally well and was funny! She made the work day just a little bit better. Our condolences to the family — she will be missed

  • Lori was such a beautiful woman. Her smile, her laugh, and her zest for life made her one of the most amazing people I ever had the honor to be friends with. She loved her family and was so proud of them. She saw the good in people and never passed an opportunity to find humer in any situation. I will miss her but never will forget her.
