Michael Knighting

In loving memory of Michael Lance Knighting who passed away at his home in Kennewick, March 7 at the age of 61.  Michael (Mike) was born December 12, 1963, in Staunton, VA., where he attended high school at Lee High, excelling in art and proving himself to be an integral part of the football team.  At the age of 25, Mike moved to Washington to be with the love of his life, Julie Harrington.  Michael was a visionary, sharing his artistic, poetic, and musical talents throughout his lifetime. He was a generous and thoughtful individual with true leadership skills.  His kindness will be remembered by friends all over the globe.  He was a wonderful ‘cat dad’ with a true love for all animals.  Michael is survived by his life partner, Julie Harrington, mother, Virginia Knighting, father, William Knighting, and sister, Cindy Knighting. Michael’s beautiful spirit will be missed every day, and those who knew him are better people because of him.  Condolences can be shared in the form of a donation to the animal shelter of your choice.
