Lawrence “Larry” Bright, born on July 20, 1950, in Piqua, Ohio, passed away on March 21, 2025, in Richland, Washington with his beloved wife, Karen, by his side. The son of Robert and Edna Bright, Larry grew up alongside his brothers, Ronnie Bright and Marvin Jacobs. He completed his high school education at Graham High School and furthered his studies in Elkhart, Indiana, where he trained to become a dental technician.

Larry was a self-employed dental technician, a career that reflected his love for craftsmanship and interaction with the community. His professional life was marked by a deep commitment to his craft and a genuine enjoyment in serving others.

Larry’s personal life was rich with love and family. He met and married Mary Christian with whom he had three children, Robert Bright, Anthony Bright and Angie Blackburn. Later, he found love with Karen Bright, becoming a cherished stepfather to her three children: Cass Thurston, Alexis Walsh, and Michelle Sibbald. His family grew to include nine beloved grandchildren: Alyta, Zoe, Delaney, Jacqui, Kendall, Vance, Isaac, Dunston, and Dylan and three great grandchildren: Oliver, Cassian and Milliana.

Beyond his professional and family life, Larry was an avid nature enthusiast. His kindness, friendliness, and generosity extended into his hobbies as he spent considerable time outdoors, learning about and sharing his knowledge of the natural world.

Larry leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for his family and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

A service to honor Larry’s life will be held at a later date.
