Celebration of Life
Linda J. Albertson
Linda was born August 6th, 1964 at Kadlec Hospital in Richland WA and passed away August 14th 2023 in Kennewick WA.
Linda was a very caring and loving person. Her love of life was family and many friends.
Linda lit up the room with her infectious smile and grace and made many friendships that lasted all of her life. The kindness and support her family and friends showed her at the end of her life was inspirational. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Kadlec Hospital doctors, nurses, and staff for their care. Even on her worst days during her hospital stays, Linda joked with the hospital staff even though she was hurting to make their workday better.
Special thanks to nieces Lori, Andie, Hospice nurse Jana and her childhood friend Brenda Wilson Urlacher for their loving care and kindness.
Linda loved hiking, outdoor activities, thrift shopping, picnics, and family game nights. She would always say something nice to a stranger on the street and would make people laugh often.
Linda met Derik Albertson at Richland High school and he became the love of her life. They married on June 21st, 1986, in Richland. Linda and Derik had 37 loving years together. Linda supported Derik’s long career at Grant County PUD by getting up to fix his lunch at 3 in the morning every workday and sent him off with a fresh cup of hot coffee.
Their son Brandon was born November 17th, 1993. The Albertson’s enjoyed spending holidays with family and friends. They took many vacations and made many great memories along the way.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Joe and Jean Ell, Doug Korten (father-in-law).
She is survived by her husband Derik, son Brandon, mother-in-law Barbara Korten, brother Gary Ell (Tammy), sister Kathleen Rau, sister Janet Doran, sister Judi Dahl (Mike), brother David Ell, brother-in-law Jeffery Albertson, brother-in-law Daniel Korten (Karen), Sister-in-law Deanna Zinn (Doug), brother-in-law Douglas Albertson (Kristine), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda’s presence in this world will be missed. She had the ability to make someone feel really special with her warm, loving personality and ability to truly listen. I always loved talking with her!
I knew that I would miss you terribly but it’s much harder than I thought. I will miss our talks, our trift shopping, our lunches out, and your beautiful face. You will always be my sister and best friend. I know it’s ok not to be ok, but it’s just not fair. You endured more than anyone I know. I was proud of how you handled things the last several months by keeping your wonderful humor and grace. You are now free of pain and I will see you again. I love you my Lup! Rest now.
So sorry for your loss Lori, Andie, Gary, Tammy and family. I remember Linda fondly.
