In loving memory of Diep T. Caraway

Diep Thi Chau Caraway, 83 of West Richland, Washington passed away on June 28th surrounded by her loving family. Diep was born and raised in Preychop, South Vietnam.
Diep is survived by her loving husband David, Daughter My and her husband Nen, their children Sophol and wife Leanna, twins Ann and Mary, and great grandchildren Jet and Ivy. Diep also has a son Duoi Tran in Vietnam who gave her 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. There are many nieces and nephews, eached loved by Diep.

Diep met David while he was stationed in Vietnam in early 1968. They fell madly in love and were married in June 1968. They enjoyed camping in the mountains and watching the dear and elk. Diep loved cooking outdoors and was a great cook.

Diep worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years and then took the best job of her life helping raise her grandchildren. Helped instill values and hard work in them. Grandson Sophol has his own business,Pro Fiber and Ann and Mary are both accountants. Diep was a sweet kind hearted woman who took care of her family here and in Vietnam. She helped support family by sending money for food, medicine, clothing, and school. There was not a selfish bone in her whole body.

Diep is preceded in death by her parents Ton Tran and Put Chau, four brothers, and four sisters.
Services will be held at Sunset Gardens in the Veterans Garden on July 6th, 2023 at 10:30.
