Kristine Rigby Rankin
Kristine Rigby Rankin was born on July 15, 1972 in Seattle, Washington and was called home on July 6th in Puyallup, Washington after a long hard fought battle with Crohns disease. Kristy grew up in Richland, Washington and graduated from Richland High School. After high school Kristy attended Rhema Bible College in Oklahoma and graduated with a degree in theology in 1998. After college Kristy moved to Seattle, Washington and worked for several years for World Vision where she met and married the love of her life her husband of almost 20 years Wayne Rankin. When Kristy was 12 years old she was diagnosed with Crohns disease and through the years she had many battles and hospital stays related to this horrible disease. She fought with every thing she had and was determined to live her best life with the people she loved the most and She loved hard. Kristy especially loved her life long companions her mini schnauzers Zoro and Mia, Oscar and Grace and she fiercely loved all her nieces and nephews and grandchildren. She was an amazing wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandma who would go above and beyond to make her family and friends feel loved and she loved to spoil them with the most thoughtful gifts. Kristy loved to cook and entertain and was an excellent at both. She also loved fashion and shopping always looking for the newest trends. Kristy loved the Lord and through all of her trials and tribulations she had unshakable faith. Her favorite place on earth was by the ocean where she loved to spend time with her husband Wayne and their dogs. Kristy is preceded in heaven by her brother Jeff Rigby, her father Rodney Rigby, and her grandparents Delphine and Leroy Whalen, and Albert and Doris Rigby. We are going to miss Kristy immensely but we know she is in the arms of Jesus now. Please join us for a celebration of Kristy’s life on her 50th birthday Friday July 15th at Overcomer Covenant Church in Auburn, Washington at 11:00am and also a graveside service at Sunset Gardens in Richland, Washington on Wednesday July 20th at 2:30pm.
Thank goodness Kristy is finally healed and in the arms of God.
Her place in Heaven will give her the peace she deserves.
Our love and condolences go out to Wayne and her family during such a huge loss.
She was beautiful inside and out and loved by so very many.
The Jisa family is heart broken over the loss of or friend and family member Kristy. She was an awesome person and we are praying for the whole family. God Bless!
Wayne, Kathy, Heidi, and Jenny — my heart breaks for all of you and your families. Kristy was a rare gem and a true gift. Her light stretched far beyond herself to bless the lives of so many, including mine. Our antics and adventures were many! I am so glad that we reconnected a couple of years ago. Despite her loss in this world, she is gratefully, finally able to rest in body and spirit. God bless you all with His comfort and peace in your sorrow. Much, much love…
