Barbara Marsh passed away peacefully on June 2, 2017 in Richland, Washington.  She was born in Polson, Montana to Eldon and Lita Crawford on July 24,1937.  She spent the first years of her life in a cabin her father built on Flathead Lake.  She was the oldest of two children and was born at the end of the Great Depression. She was always happy to point out to anyone who asked that she was a “Montana girl”.

She moved with her family to Richland early during WWII as they began work for the Hanford Project.  Barb is a proud graduate of Richland High School and was on the Cheer team that was dedicated to the ”Bombers”.  

She started her working career as a secretary for the Richland Police Department.  She was later employed as a librarian and administrative assistant for the Hanford Contractor-Kaiser before her retirement.  Barb was a faithful member of Richland Baptist Church and was very supportive of the Youth Choir.  She actively participated in the senior programs and valued her Christian faith highly.   Barb loved her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to tell you about them.  She enjoyed traveling and seeing new places with her family.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Lita; and her brother Ron (Lynn) Crawford.  She is survived by her three children, Ron (Lisa) Marsh of Richland, Denise (Brent) Gerry of West Richland, and Joe (Jessica) Marsh of Venice,Florida;  8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who hold a special place on her heart.  We will miss her laugh and wonderful smile.

Barb will always be remembered for her genuine concern for people, strong Christian values, and lifelong quest to be a good friend to others.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 2:30 PM July 8, 2017 at Einan’s at Sunset, 915 Bypass Highway, Richland.
