Thomas Robison

Thomas “Tom” John Robison, 76, of Richland, Washington, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, March 31, 2016 at Kadlec Medical Center.  His parents, John and Ruth Robison, and his brother Charles Robison precede him in death.

Tom is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra; his sons: Brian (Traci) Robison of Canyon Country, CA; Robert (Heidi) Robison of Tustin, CA; and Ken (Jihyun) Robison of Spokane, WA; his four grandchildren: Brittany, Jack, Nicolas, and Molly; and his brother Robert of Phoenix, AZ.

He was born in Redding, California, and spent his early years in Colorado until moving to India with his parents.  He graduated from the Woodstock School in Nepal in 1959.  Upon his return to the United States he attended Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated from Arizona State University.  He was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.  While at ASU he met the love of his life, Sandra.  After graduation and marriage the couple settled in Seattle where they started their family.  Tom began his career with Boeing Computer Services the family moved to Richland in 1975, where he worked at Hanford for Boeing Computer Services as a systems analyst, as well as a supervisor in the Human Resources Department.

Tom was very involved with All Saints’ Episcopal Church where he served in many capacities.  In the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane he served as chair of the Standing Committee, the Department of Mission, and the Youth Department.  He was very involved in diocesan youth programs and spent many summers volunteering at Camp Cross.  He was also a deputy to the General Convention for many years.     

In the community he served as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem for the Benton/Franklin Juvenile Justice Center. He received an award from United Way for outstanding volunteer service to the community in 1995.

A Memorial Service for Tom will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday April 29, 2017 at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 1322 Kimball Avenue, Richland, WA; a reception to follow.

  • Enjoyed working with Tom at Hanford. He always had a beautiful smile. Thoughts and prayers for his family. Rest in Peace, Tom.
