From Kennewick, WA | Born in Sacramento, CA

Kevin Richardson

After a protracted battle with cancer, Kevin Richardson died on January 14, 2017 at his home in Kennewick WA at the age of 63. Kevin was born on July 17, 1953 in Sacramento, CA to father Charles (AL) Richardson and mother Leona. Kevin grew up in a loving family and is survived by his beloved wife Sylvia, sons, Chad, Charlie wife Katie, Justin and Ethan. Daughter Angela, four grandchildren and a great grandchild, father Charles (AL) Richardson, two brothers Rick wife Beth, Dan and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles along with many lifelong friends. Kevin is preceded in death by his mother, Leona Richardson.

Kevin was a driven outdoorsman with a love for hunting and fishing. When diagnosed with lung cancer in 2012, he remained dedicated in his passion to hunt and fish. In his will to fight his illness he remained a brave, iron-willed loving family man, even throughout his final months he loved to hunt with his family and friends.

At Kevin's request there will be no funeral but rather a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date. All family and friends will be invited to attend. The family would especially like to thank Kadlec Hospital, Chaplaincy Hospice Care for their excellent work, loving care and the Critical Nursing Staff for their constant, attentive treatment. Einan’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

  • In school ,on many jobs and just around town, it was always great to see Kevin. He always had a big grin with a friendly hand shake when I would see him. He will be missed, seeing him around town but he will always in my thoughts.

  • What a warrior!!! This man really knew how to fight. Everytime I saw Kevin he amazed me with his smile and big laugh, even though I knew he was in pain in one way or another.
He always seemed to have encouraging words and advice for me when i was diagnosed, taking his eyes off of himself and helping others. I just want to thank him for helping me through my difficult time. You were one of my hero’s.! Job well done!
