11/15/1934 — 11/10/2015
From Richland, WA | Born in Hazel Park, MI
David L. Tribble
David L. Tribble, age 80 of Richland, WA went to be with his Lord and Savior at home surround by his loving family, in his favorite chair on November 10th, 2015.
He was born in Hazel Park, MI on November 15, 1934 to Malcom and Madeline Tribble. He grew up and lived in Detroit, MI until he joined the Army in 1954. Before leaving for his deployment to France, he enjoyed finding and fixing up old hot rods - which sparked his lifelong passion for mechanics. Upon returning from France, he met the love of his life, Sandra Anderson, on a blind date. They were married on December 29, 1960. In 1964 they moved to Missoula, MT from Virginia with their 2 year old daughter, Terry.
David became the service manager at H.O. Bell Ford Dealership before opening his own service station in 1969. He went to work in the timber industry in 1970 and retired as a crane operator or a "cherry picker on the merry go round" in 1989. Upon retirement Dave enjoyed wood working, gardening and collecting various items. In 1995 he and his wife purchased their first motor home and that started years of being snow birds. They traveled the country and stayed with friends and family along the way.
In 2011, they bought their home in Richland, WA. Dave spent most of his time tinkering in his 4 car garage and filling it with his garage sale treasures. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in July of 2014. He said “I’ve always enjoyed a good fight and I’m going to fight this”. He fought with courage and bravery for 16 months until The Lord called him home.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Tribble, his daughter and her husband, Donn & Terry Daffe all of Richland, WA, his son and his wife, Jeffrey & Denise Tribble of Missoula, MT. He is also survived by four granddaughters, one grandson and one great grandson.
His memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 15th, 2015 at 3:00pm at Gracepoint Church of God, located at 1915 N. Rd. 84, Pasco, WA. Einan's at Sunset Garden will be in charge of arrangements.
I knew Dave because I have been Jeff’s friend since High School. Dave and Sandy took me in for a short time until I left for Boot Camp. Dave was a great man with a passion for the good Lord above and the blessings that come from knowing him. I considered him to be a friend and he will be missed. He had a great run and was tough as nails with a big heart. God Bless Dave and the rest of the Tribble family.
I am sorry for your loss-your family is in my prayers and thoughts. I went to Glad Tidings when your family was in Missoula. Later, I saw him off and on at CLC for a Sunday service. My condolences to the family–Gail Shepard
We were blessed to have Dave and Sandy as part of our church family at Glad Tidings A/G in Missoula. May the Lord surround
Dave’s family with His Presence and peace during this time.
Sandy and Family –
I was so sorry to see that Dave had passed away, but grateful that he is with the Lord. I did not know that you had moved to Richland.
Sending my sympathy and love to you and all your family. I will pray that God will comfort your hearts.
Helen
Just a note in passing. I remember Dave’s wife’s family from way back when she visited the Spalding family in Deer Lodge when she was much younger.
I remember Dave from his time in Missoula and while they attended Glad Tidings church.
Dave was a very outgoing person and was always making new friends. He will be missed by many people in Missoula.
He will be waiting on the other side to welcome us home.
