Nora Elizabeth (Baer) Presnell

On the morning of September 12, 2015, while surrounded by family, Nora Elizabeth Baer Presnell passed away peacefully at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Washington. Nora was 57 years old.

Nora was born on December 22, 1957 in Bayreuth, West Germany to William and Gisela Baer.  She spent most of her early life traveling between Germany and the United States while her father served in the United States Army.

Nora met her husband, Randy Presnell, while he was stationed in Germany.  They were married on June 10, 1977. Shortly thereafter they started a life in Othello, Washington where their family started to grow. Randy and Nora welcomed their first daughter, Nicole, in April of 1978 then daughter, Stephanie in May of 1981, and son, Randy, Jr., in December of 1985.

As a stay at home mom, Nora loved being able to take care of her family. Her days were filled being involved with her childrens’ sport activities. She was a loving and caring person who prided herself in putting others’ needs before her own. For 22 years Nora enjoyed teaching and working with special needs children.

Nora's grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Her closest friends knew how much she enjoyed sharing stories of them.

Nora was preceded in death by her father, William D. Baer and granddaughter, Isabel Fe Gonzalez. She is survived by her mother, Gisela Baer of Colorado Springs; her husband, Randy Presnell of Othello; daughters: Nicole Presnell of Spokane, and Stephanie Gonzalez of West Richland; and her son, Randy Presnell, Jr. of Pasco. She is also survived by her sisters: Gisela Shanahan of Monument and Sandra Baer of Colorado Springs; brother, Bill Baer of Puyallup; granddaughters: Madison Gonzalez, Julia Gonzalez and Rylee Presnell; and grandson, Cooper Presnell.

Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Nora are invited to a Memorial Service celebrating her life, held on September 26, 2015 at 10:30am in the Othello High School corridor; 340 S. 7th Ave, Othello, Washington 99344
