Eric Booth
Eric Mitchell Booth, 30, loving father, son, brother, and friend, passed away August, 16, 2015 in Pasco, WA. Eric was born on December 31, 1984 in Richland, WA and spent his entire life in the Tri-Cities area. He is survived by his daughter, Terra; mother, Rosemary Hamann; step father, David Hamann, and sister; Kristy Cain. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Booth in 1991.
Eric loved spending time with his daughter, Terra. Eric affectionately called Terra his “Midget” or “Midgeeto”. They had a special bond that Terra will certainly carry with her the rest of her life. They shared a quirky sense of humor that was truly unique. Eric’s happiest times were those spent with Terra. It didn’t matter whether they were playing baseball, fishing or baking cookies, they had fun together.
Eric also enjoyed tinkering on computers and had worked as a computer tech. He loved the mountains, fishing, rafting and target shooting. Eric often shared that the wilderness gave him a sense of peace and solace; especially in the mountains. That last couple of years, Eric started gardening. He had hoped that his enthusiasm would rub off on Terra, but her favorite part was the harvesting.
Eric’s friendliness, sense of humor, and charisma will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at Einan’s at Sunset at the Event Center, 915 By Pass Hwy Richland, WA 99352 on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Diabetes Association or The Wounded Warrior Project in Eric’s name.
I am so very sorry to hear about Eric’s passing. The last time we talked, he was so resolute in bettering his health and continuing recovery. Eric and I had never met, but we were online friends for over a decade. He was smart and witty, tough but kind. He had such a wicked sense of humor and made me laugh often. He was also a deep thinker who felt the weight of the world’s problems. I will never forget the day Terra was born. He was over the moon – practically radiating with joy and pride. That kind of boundless love can’t be stopped by death. He’ll be watching over and loving you forever, Terra. He loved and respected his mom for all her hard work, especially with raising him after his dad passed. I will always treasure my friendship with him and pray for comfort to his family. He was a good man who left too soon.
May fond memories of Eric bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and smile at the fact that you were able to share these before she passed away. My hearts and prayers go out to you and your family. –John 5:28-29 JW.ORG
Dear Rosemary,
My thoughts are with you and your family at this very difficult time. I remember Eric as such a cute little guy when we worked together at Buttreys. God Bless.
Our prayers and thoughts are will Terra, Rosemary, David, Kristy and Alex. Via con Dios, Eric.
Eric was my first fiancé 😋 Even though I was the older woman as a 4th grader he promised me a wedding in Hawaii and sealed it by putting a mouse in my sleeping bag during a sleepover with Kristy. Though it has been a long time, your family has always been in my heart. I wish you all strength and peace. I’d be at the service if I could but I will be there in spirit! With love, Mandi
RIP Eric.
