Mr Rube Peterson
Rube Peterson passed away peacefully Sunday, December 21, 2014 after courageously battling cancer. He was born March 18, 1957 in Paris France, while his father was serving in the Air Force. His parents are Charles Edward and Lucy Rosemarie Riley. He lived in numerous places growing up and graduated from Rogers High School in Puyallup, WA in 1975. He married Julie Jones and had two children Kimberly and Christopher. They later divorced. He married Kimberly Butler on March 25, 1994 in Santaquin, Utah and was sealed in the Manti Temple on May 25, 1996. They had two children Heather and Hunter. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, February 18, 1995. He was a tremendous example of one who embraced the gospel and served with positive attitude. He always thought of others and had a motto of leaving the person he met that day, better than he found them. He never complained with all the pain and trials that he had to deal with. He served in many church callings, with the last one being a High Counselor. He was a valiant and faithful warrior. He returned with Honor. He looked forward to his annual hunting trips and enjoyed sharing his love of hunting with his children. He had a great love for motorcycles. He traveled to many places on his motorcycle. He said he felt free while riding. He is survived by his wife, Kim; four children Kimberly, Christopher, Heather and Hunter; four grandchildren; sister, Kathie (Ron) Britt; brother Mike (Kate); sister Becky (Howard) Broadbent; brother Michael (Cindy) Peterson and many other loved ones. Proceeded in death by: his parents, twin brother David Paul, grandparents and many aunts and uncles. He will be greatly missed.
