Lois Brough Johnson

Lois B Johnson, age 85, of West Richland WA went home to Jesus on Thursday, September 13, 2012. She died peacefully, having lived a long and precious life. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Lois moved with her family to Walla Walla, then Yakima. She attended the University of Washington and earned her teaching degree. While there, she met her husband Glenn. They were married and moved to Richland, where she taught at Jason Lee Elementary School. She spent almost six decades in the West Richland area. She was "Mom" to 5 children and their spouses and "Gramma" to 11 grandchildren. There were also many other special people who called her "Mom" or "Gramma". She is survived by her children Deryl, Allan, Julie, Dan, and Paul. She has now joined her husband Glenn in heaven.

A celebration of life service will be held at Calvary Assembly of God Church 1800 Bombing Range Road in West Richland on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. All who knew Lois are invited to come share in this celebration of her life. There will be lunch at the church following the service. For those unable to attend, an online guest book is available at http://www.einansfuneralhome.com

Lois was most blessed in her times with her family, at church, and with others. She embraced those around her and welcomed them into her family. She was an extremely cheerful woman who loved to talk and share life stories. She was a great listener and supporter. She loved a cup of coffee and conversation. She loved singing, especially with family members.

  • I am sad for myself, my family, and everyone who shares our loss. But I’m happy for Mom because she is with Jesus, and free from her wheelchair at last.

  • I’m very glad to have had the opportunity to spend time with Aunt Lois. I’ll always remember her cheerful attitude and easy-going ways. Jeannie and I were fortunate to be visiting Richland during Lois’s 80th birthday, in 2007. I’ll always cherish that memory.
