Rosemary Ann Remer, 83, of Kennewick, passed away peacefully Friday, August 17, 2012 at her home after battling cancer. She was born and raised in Hutchinson, MN and was the sixth child out of ten.
She attended Country School until her high school years. She graduated Hutchinson High School in 1948. While in high school she enjoyed publishing and doing all mediums of art work, skating and softball.
In 1948 she married Cletus Remer at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. During her life on the farm they were blessed with nine children.
While on the farm she worked part time for Tonka Toys, Green Giant and 3M and still found the time for gardening and sewing.
After leaving the farm in 1976 she enjoyed their lake home in Darwin, MN.
Leaving Darwin, MN she moved to Alexandria, MN for 3 years and then Litchfield, MN for several more years, here they became Winter Texans, always touching the hearts of many people along the way.
She left Litchfield in 2008 and spent the last four years in Kennewick, WA.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Cletus; son, Francis Remer and wife Sue of Yakima, WA; son, Randy Remer of Bertram, TX; daughter, Nancy Scanlon of Sioux Falls, SD; Son, Rick Remer and wife Cindy of Kennewick, WA; daughter, Julie Shaw of Sioux Falls, SD; son, John Remer of Sioux Falls, SD; daughter, Denise Butler and her husband Scott of Escondido, CA. She is also survived by her fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons Giles and Bruce Remer.
Visitation will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kennewick, WA on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 4-5:30pm with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5:00pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Joseph's in Kennewick, on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11:00am.
Services in Silver Lake, Minnesota will be held Friday, October 5, 2012, with visitation at 10:00 AM at The Holy Family Church, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Rosemary was truly a wonderful person and will be missed by all.

So sorry to hear about Aunt Rosie. She was such a wonderful lady and I will always remember her laughter. Mom was always happy when she was around her too. I am very grateful that I got the pleasure of meeting grandma. She was a wonderful woman and although i didnt know her on a personal level, I saw her beauty shine through her daughter and grand daughters. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. The angels are truly blessed on this day.
