  • I got to know Bill and Mary when I came to the Tri-Cities 20 years ago. Bill has been a friend at Richland Rotary Club. He shared his stories about his service in Belgium during WWII and his work on his book. I appreciate his effort to make the plan of the Richland Community Center a reality. He was a gentle and warm person with a positive outlook for life. I miss his inspiration and kind smile.

  • Bill’s family: I sent a card to Bill and Mary’s address the one we had, but it was returned. So I’ll try this method, instead. We met Bill and Mary during the Bond Campaign for a new Senior Center. They were such nice people–and agreeable to do anything that was necessary. We’re so sorry for your loss. /Sue & Bob Pritchett

  • Dad,

You’ve left behind a wonderful legacy in your children and grandchildren. You gained my love & respect when you baby-sat for me when Jerry was injured. I’ll never forget seeing Katie’s ice-creme covered face, as she slept soundly in your arms. Ahh, to be a grandparent! I’ll miss you. Give mom a hug from me.

    With love from your daughter-in-law.

  • I met Bill and Mary at Richland Rehab during my husband’s two stays there. I often ate with my husband and Bill at the “men’s table”. Once when my husband Ben had to go into the “special dining room” for those with swallowing problems, and looked so forlorn in there, Bill comforted me and my daughter by saying “I’ll take care of him!” His wit was great. Mary was a great comfort to me, and went at her life there with a great deal of dedication. I enjoyed her company. I will miss them both!
