William 'Bill' Leroy Beem
William 'Bill' Leroy Beem was born January 23, 1938 to Teresa and Albert Beem in Independence Missouri. He passed away from Leukemia at his home in Richland on December 25, 2010.
Bill was a Glassblower and Engineering Technician with GE and then Westinghouse for many years; Bill was retired. Bill was above all an outdoors man. Bill spent many wonderful years hunting and fishing, first with his father Albert and then with his son Bill, his best friend Gary VanArsdale, and his hunting family. Besides the yearly bear, deer and elk trips, he enjoyed some very memorable trips with his son hunting Russian Boar in Tennessee in 1996, Antelope in Wyoming in 2000, and Oryx and Black Buck in Texas in 2002. Then in 2004, Bill and his son went to South Africa for Gemsbok, Kudu, and Blue Wildebeest.
Although Sheri did not enjoy hunting with her dad, she has many wonderful memories growing up of deer camp, learning to shoot, and just spending time with her dad in the mountains riding in his jeep. Bill was a constant supporter of his grandchildren in all of their activities, whether it was scouting, school events or sports.
Bill is survived by his daughter Sheri and her husband Gary Niebel of Pasco, his son Bill Beem of Kennewick, grandchildren Brian Megan Niebel and Jennifer Niebel of Pasco, and Ryan Beem and Megan Beem of Maryland, and great granddaughters Bailey and Jordyn Niebel of Pasco. Bill is survived by his brother Fred Beem of New Mexico.
Bill was the most incredible father, grandfather and friend. He will always be remembered, loved and missed.
Viewing will be Thursday, December 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Einan's Funeral Home at 915 Bypass Highway in Richland. A memorial service will be held at Memories at Sunset Event Center at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 31, with a reception at the Event Center, following a short graveside service.

My sympathy to the family of Bill. I remember Bill from way back in square dancing days with the Prairie Shufflers. Also am pretty sure he bought shares in Shuffler Shanty in Kennewick. God Bless Bob
