Vinh Dat Tran passed away on Saturday Feb. 21, 2009, following an extended illness, with family around his bedside at Kadlec Medical Center. He was born in Nam-Dinh Vietnam May 28, 1928 to Thuan and Cuc Tran.

Prior to his immigration into the US, he served as medic in the VN Army Medical Corp for over 20 years. He was forced into retirement after his first cardiac surgery in 1989.

He is survived by Phuong Tran, his wife of 59 years; aunt Yen Tran; his sister Hong Tran VN; daughters: Kim-Thoa Tran her husband and children, Lien Tran Nguyen, her husband and children; Yen Tran Nguyen, her husband and children; Chi Tran and her son; sons: Quang Tran his wife and children, Tuan Tran his wife and children, Tam Tran his wife and children, Duc Tran his wife and children, Thien Tran and his son, Thanh Tran his wife and daughter. Many sisters & brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews also survive him. Preceding in death: parents Thuan and Cuc Tran, parents in law Uyen and Phi Tran, sisters Hoa Tran and Ly Tran, and daughter Kim-Dung Tran.

The traditional family and praying services will be held at Einan's Funeral Home 915 Bypass Hwy, Richland WA 99352 from 2 PM to 8PM Friday Feb. 27, 2009.

The Christian Mass Services Saturday Feb. 28, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Christ The King Catholic Church 1111 Stevens Dr, Richland. Interment will be followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens 915 Bypass Hwy Richland WA
