Dorothy ”Dottie” Annabell Ryan

God came and got Dorothy on October 22, 2007. She was ready to go and receive her new mind and body.

She was born in Gower, Oklahoma, the youngest of eight children. Dottie moved to the Tri-Cities in 1946, where she worked at G.E. and Battelle. She owned Arlene’s Flowers for 20 years and was a member of many organizations: Richland and Pasco Chambers, Emblem Club, Vets, Kiwanis, Red Hat’s Society, American Legion and Tri-City Industry Club, to name a few, and was an avid bowler for many years.

Her laughter and enthusiasm was an inspiration to those around her, and her loving spirit touched many hearts. She is only gone in body, her memories and love will continue in our lives.

Her Legacy: daughters Thora Ziegler and husband Lee, Barronelle Stutzman and husband Darold grandchildren Tiana Johnson, Danny Johnson, Dawn French and Troy Woody, Matt, Tim, Shane, Jared and Anndee Stutzman, and Shauna King; great-grandchildren Nick, Tanner, Brie, J.C., Jaxi, Jonathan, Kirsten, Alyssa, Elizabeth and Luke.

Her determination and the twinkle in her eyes till she left us will be remembered with love and affection and smiles. She will be greatly missed.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 3, 2007 at First Baptist Church, Richland.

  • Thora and Barronelle: I was taken aback when I saw your posting of your Mother’s passing in the SandStorm. I often think about you two for more reasons than a couple. Your Mother was a good friend of my Mothers and I spent some time at your house. Altho we never ran to gether, I considered you two friends. My deepest condolences are sent for you two and your families. And hope time will heal the blank space that is felt in your hearts. Love you both..Marilyn
