Karen Jean Tucker-Tisdale
10/03/1955 — 09/01/2007
From West, Richland, WA, US | Born in Richland, Washington
Karen Jean Tucker-Tisdale
Karen Jean Tucker Tisdale, age 51 of West Richland, passed away on September 1, 2007 at Kadlec Medical Center with many family and friends present.
Karen was born on October 3, 1955 to Oris O. and Bonnie Tucker. Her father preceded her in passing away.
Karen is survived by her loving companion David Skoglie, mother Bonnie Tucker, brothers Dale Tucker and wife Cheryl, Kenny Tucker and wife Jackie, Wes Tucker, daughters Shelley and Lisa Tisdale, granddaughter Taylor Tisdale, Uncle Alton and Aunt Arty and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved pets Heidi, Jack, Harley, and Porche.
Karen loved spending time with her family and ftiends and was truly the centerpiece of the family. Karen loved traveling to see new and interesting places especially Baja, Mexico were she developed a taste for Mexican food. She loved camping and fishing, and usually out fished everyone. Karen was an avid Mariner and Seahawk fan and attended numerous games, with Beltre and Tatupu being her favorite players.
Karen worked at Energy Northwest for the Energy Component Group. She really loved working with ''her boys''. One person she adored, loved and respected was her Retired boss Mr. Bob Morris. She always talked highly of him and everyone she worked with. Thank all of you that worked with Karen and made it such a fun and special place.
Karen adored her family as much as they adored her. For instance, at the early age of 2, she took it upon herself to walk alone half a mile to visit her grandma and grandpa. This is the kind of commitment she had with her family throughout her life. Karen was also a role model during her school years with many accomplishments and being on the honor role.
Karen was the best mother anyone could ask for. She raised two daughters on her own, working very hard to provide the best things possible. Not only was she the best mom to them but she remained their best friends throughout her life.
Karen will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her. We will keep her memories alive and her smile and giggles in our hearts.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday September 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Einan's Funeral Home in Richland, WA.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Make A Wish Foundation in honor of Karen Tisdale.
7 S. Howard Suite 414 Spokane, WA 99201.
I am very blessed to have known and worked with Karen. We worked together in the Maintenance dept. at Energy Northwest. My heart is filled with many many good memories of our times at work. Karen was quiet, but filled with a love of life. She made coming to work easy. I adored Karen and loved her as my good good friend. I will miss her laugh and all those talks we had in bldg 17 hallway. Thank you Karen for all that you brought into my life. I thank her family for allowing me to be with her through this. I will miss her very very much.
Karen was a precious lady to me, I loved her infectious giggle. For a long time her and I were the only women in the electrical group, so to me she was a dear commerade. I miss her greatly, and she will never be forgotton. My prayers go out to all her family and friends during this difficult time. Lynda

I have worked with Karen for several years…back when we were in the teams until now. She was a very special, smart, caring, & kind lady. I will really miss her laugh… I already do. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family during this time. She will be truly missed here at work. Tina
To the Family:

My family and I would like to send our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family. I enjoyed working with Karen and she would always brighten my day with her humor and smile. I loved to hear her laugh and would send her an e-mail joke, then walk around the corner and listen to her when she read it. We will miss her.
I have known and worked with Karen for almost 15 years. Although we never worked in the same department, I have had the pleasure of working with her on many things at Energy Northwest. She was one of the kindest people I know. She was always polite, caring and cheerful no matter what. I will truly miss her and already do. My thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family.
To the Family and Loved Ones of Karen, my wife and I extend our thoughts and prayers to you with Karen’s passing. She will be greatly missed by all. My favorite thing about Karen was that no matter what day or circumstance she always was upbeat, happy, and full of fun. You could tease her or joke with her and she’d always have a giggle and twinkle in her eyes. I think Sam started teasing Karen about “stirring the pot” and so we expanded that to give her an imaginary jog switch because she was so good at it!! Always with friendship and love our teasing back and forth help all of us through the day. We all sometimes take for granted the people in our lives, and sadly it isn’t until their loss that you realize just how lucky you were to have someone as precious as Karen in it. How very blessed we all are to be counted as friends.
Dave, Shelly, Lisa, Bonnie and extended family-
Most of my memories of Karen are “fondest”, therefore too numerous to list. If I had to choose a word for Karen, I couldn’t, for there are so many to describe her… She is so very Special… If you needed a smile, she could bring it to you; if you needed encouragement – she delivered; if you needed a hug – her arms were the widest; if you needed a ‘lift’ – she was the strongest……
We go on with our lives daily and often take those around us for granted…. not realizing the great “void” our lives would feel should we lose one…
I have known Karen for 17 years, having had the pleasure of working with her directly for about 6 of those years. She made the work place fun to be in with her “upbeat” personality. She always had a smile and something funny or nice or cute to say…. She could make you just laugh out loud with her cute little laugh/giggle.. Her presance was infectuous, warm and a pleasure. There are no words for the “absence” of those things in our days ahead…
Love you Karen – you will be forever a “vivid memory” in my heart.
Our love and prayers to all who loved her…
Georgia and Billy
I was 10 years old when Karen was born and what a wonderful event that was for the Tucker family. A girl for the Tuckers. I have lost track of that beautiful blond girl. She comes from the kindest family a girl could have. Her parents, grandmother, aunts and uncles are all wonderful people. I can close my eyes and hear the giggle of her grandmother and mother. She must have inherited their giggle from.
One year I pestered my parents, who were close friends of the Tuckers, into asking Bonnie if we could come out and help set up Christmas for the Tucker kids. We had to wait until it was late into the night to help play Santa. That was so much fun to be a part of their Christmas by helping and watching as Karen’s parents set a doll buggy in among along all the boy toys that would belong to her brothers on Christmas morning.
It is with sadness to hear of Karen’s passing.
I worked with karen for a number of years. What a joy she was. She had a great sense of humor and was always a loyal friend. She was the kind of person you always wanted on your team. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
Bonnie and Family,
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We do wish that we could be there with you.

We’ll miss you Karen. Your bubbly personality and cute laugh will be missed greatly. You made Moose State Bowling a blast! And Camus, Or. will never be the same…. We have a picture of you on a horse at one of our big BBQ’s. I think you were more worried about the horse, than yourself. And of course, you were laughing!
Heaven will be a little brighter now. Keep them all smiling.
I will miss you Karen.
