Lawrence ”Larry” Harry Burt
Lawrence ''Larry'' H. Burt, 47, went to be with his lord on November 22, 2004. Larry Burt was a resident of the Tri-cities for 26 years. Larry will be missed dearly by all. Larry was born on September 6, 1957 with his twin brother to Jean and Frank Burt, in Butte, Montana. Larry married wife Jean Ina Kelly on June 7, 1979, the LDS Temple. Larry and Jean lived with their 5 children in Richland for 26 years. Larry and Jean were married for 24 years until his beloved wife Jean passed away of cancer. Larry loved Jean very dearly and will be united with her again.
Larry worked for the Latter-Day Saints Church in Richland for about 15 years and then went to work for Kadlec Hospital in 1994 and worked there for almost 10 years as a Phlebotomist. Larry was very caring to others, hardworking even when sick, loyal to all, serving to others, and helping others whenever needed.
Larry was an avid member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for many years. He was a member of the Aaronic Priesthood and enjoyed attending church functions. He baptized all 5 of his children and even his grandchild Elijah and a close friend to the family. He loved to go to church and listen to the lovely lessons that the church members gave each Sunday. Larry also enjoyed taking family vacations and going to family reunions to be with his entire family. Larry also loved to do as much as he could to be with his kids into heir childhood years. Larry was the president of the Richland Little League for many years and also helped coach teams of his children.
Larry is survived by his mother Jean Oroz of Montana, Twin brother Len and wife, Eva Burt of Washington; Brothers Jerry and wife, Martha of Idaho; Steve Burt and wife, Margarita of Washington, Dan Burt and wife, Cindy of Maryland; and Bill Burt of California. Also sisters Val and husband, Frank Wyglendowski of Montana; Deb and husband, Angelo Plomaratis of Idaho; and Sandy Burt of Washington. His children, Amber Burt of California, children Elijah. Tamara, and Christiana Burt; Bernie and Leslie Burt of Idaho, children Shanoa, Tristan, Jestine, and Devyon Burt; Rachel Ubay of Washington child Noelia Ubay; Jeanette and husband, Walter of Washington, children Jose and Gabriel Oliva; and Kathy Burt of Washington. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
Larry is preceded in death by his wife Jean Ina Burt, father Frank D. Burt, brother Douglas Burt, Sister Mimi Burt, father in law Glenn Kelly, and step father Ray Oroz.
Larry's family would like to thank all that helped the family in all the hard times that we have gone through in the last 2 years. Thank you to all.
Memorial service will be Monday November 29,2004 at 3:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1720 Thayer Dr. in Richland, W A. In lieu of flowers and donations, contributions can be made to, Rachel Ubay or Jeanette Oliva at 1316 Williams Blvd, Richland, W A 99354 or to any Sterling Savings bank in memorial of Lawrence Burt.
To Larry’s family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I feel fortunate to have crossed paths with Larry. I will always remember him as a faithful volunteer for many of our community events here at the hospital. His smile will be missed in our hallways. Sincerely, Nancy
