  • It was my pleasure to have known Russ personally for about 50 years, both on the job at Hanford and as a member of Central United Protestant Church.

  • Gail and family,

Our deepest sympathies to you and your family during this difficult time. Gail and I have been good friends since high school and have stayed in touch through the years. Russ always had a special place in my heart and we shared Christmas greetings all of these years. The last time I saw him was just a few years ago and he was still the same kind, gentle, gracious man I remember. My husband, George was very impressed by him. We will all miss Russ, but will always remember the good times.

  • I remember Russ like a lot of others do. Always with a beaming smile and a positive outlook on life. I know he cared a great deal for his family and the families that have grown from his own family.

For “Mr. Franz” life was always “fish on” and another day of wonder and adventure. His presence will be missed but his spirit remains with us all.

  • My wife and I have been fondly acquainted with Russ Franz since he married a long-time friend of ours, June Girvan. At the time, we recognized that June would have had to search long and hard to find a finer partner with whom to spend their remaining years. To us, they were an almost perfect match. Russ was a selfless, giving man who took good care of June in her sickness and was helpfull to any who needed help. Not only will he be missed by his loving family, he will also be missed by his has many friends. Our heartfelt sympathy to his family.
