Lynn, Steve & Valanee,
I am so sorry, this just happended too fast. She was so frail and sweet. It just does not seem fair. I want to tell you all how we felt about your mother. She is the kindest, most caring, loving, hard working, thoughtful, joyful, happy, positive person I knew. She loved life and her family. She always talked about all of you so much that I could stand back at her service and was able to put figure out who most of her grandchildren were just by her on going stories, all good. She told me how Val could write the poems and was the top of her class, then there was Lynnie, she always called you that, so will I. Lynnie with her accounting degree that just did not like it and ended up staying home because you had so much trouble with daycare. Steven, you would climb anything and got into everything. She sure did feel better just knowing you were coming home each night and she would not be alone.
My mother and grandmother have passed away and your mom filled a special place in my heart that had been left open. I miss her so much. She was always understanding and made my life a priority. She loved Gabriel with all her heart and the memories she left behind are many. She took weelky photos and daily notes. Yes, she handed me a piece of paper almost each day with their daily events. She said he loved her to sing Sweet Potatoe Pie when they ate, she sang to him when they ate. No wonder he would not nap for her. We would show up each day and her house would be re-arranged, a table full of snacks, and a room full of toys. She was waiting. Gabe is a handful then and today. He would not nap and wore her out. I said neither would I, she did not understand he loved her so much and could not wait to get there, he never cried even once when I left and did not want to leave. I do not know what we would have done without her. I am so thankful we were a part of her life and she a part of ours. I could go on for a long time but will leave at that. You all are in my prayers, thoughts and memories for ever. I still lay awake at night and think of her, what else could I have done? She is so special to me.
Love, Deana
