William James Haskins
William J. Bill Haskins, 86, of Richland, WA, died Sunday, February 17, 2002, at Kadlec Medical Center. He was born December 18, 1915, in Union City, New Jersey.
Mr. Haskins lived in the Tri-Cities 58 years where he was a warehouseman for General Electric, ITT, ARHCO and Westinghouse before retiring.
He served in the U. S. Army Military Police, Detachment 2 at Camp Hanford, WA and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, the former Miester Singers Mens Choral and the former Sham-Na-Pum Golf Club.
He is survived by his children: Byrne Haskins Jill, Dennis Haskins Shirley, all of Richland, Mary Haskins, Eileen Willis Lonnie, all of Kennewick, Matt Haskins Anne of Seattle, WA; grandchildren: Erin Haskins-Perryman Jimmy, Jennifer Bailey Mark, Lindsay and Kelly Haskins, Matt and Greg, Kristen Willis, Jill Carter Ryan, Peter, Grace, Caroline and Jack Haskins; great grandchildren: Nathan Giles, Abby Perryman, Spencer Bailey, Casey and Sydney Perryman; sister, Dorothy Beasich of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Rita Haskins of New Jersey; brother-in-law, Mick Barry of New Jersey; and special son, Jaime Quintero of Pasco, WA, who provided loving care and many memorable moments.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Patricia Pat; his father and mother, William and Beatrice; sister, Beatrice Barry; and brothers, John and Joseph.
Dad, always remember keep your head down and put a nice one/two swing on the ball. We love and miss you, but our memories of you will always be shared. Give Mom a hug from each of us!
The Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2002, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Richland. The Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2002, at Christ the King Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be at Einans Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. today and 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Thursday.
