  • Dear precious Sarah and Tim:

Thank you for sharing the pictures of your beautiful baby boy. Oh, how much he looked like his grandpa! How I ache for your tremendous loss. Truly there are no words; there is no comfort except sheltered in the arms of God. Ilove you. David, the Psalmist, asked “Why? And so did Jesus Christ. Ps. 42:3, 5, 9-11; and Matt. 27:45-46 You can, too. Perhaps God will give you a bit of comfort in one of these verses from His Word: Ps. 69:1-3, 16-17; 73:25-26; 61:1-4; 57:1-2; 62;5-8. He who promises to never leave us or forsake us will keep His promise to you. Reach out to Him. As Peter said so eloquently, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You alone have the words of eternal life; and we believe and are sure that you are the Christ the Son of the Living God. We must trust when we cannot see.

  • Dear Sarah and Tim:

We have been thinking about all of you and wish we could be nearer. I know you are still suffering over the loss of Nathan, and we are also feeling that loss. Please let us know if there may be something we can help you with. If you feel you would like to take a few days and come to Spokane, we would love to have you. I know Andrew just had a Birthday and I hope that celebration was a good one for the family. I’m sorry we never got to know Nathan. The photos show him as a sweet, lovable boy.

    Take care.

    Love,

    Uncle Jim and Aunt Cheryl

  • Sarah, Tim and Andrew – I continue to think of you all. I can’t imagine the grief you must be feeling. At times, it must feel overwhelming. Continue to pour out your hearts to Him, and He will comfort you. Matthew 5:4. Remember that the Father of compassion, and the God of all comfort, “comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5. And remember, “neither death, nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38. In faith, continue to pour out your hearts to him, to lean into Him, to cling to Him as a child weeps on His father’s shoulder, and to rely on His promises. And in time, He will restore your joy. Love you dearly, Aunt Gretchen

  • One day I will understand why your stay here with us was so brief. But until That Day, I will always remember the way you felt in my arms for that one short moment- the soft wisps of strawberry blonde hair, that made you look even more like your granddaddy – the perfect, smoothness of your chubby little cheeks… and I will wonder at the ways of God- and know that He loves you even more than I could. • Dear Sarah, Tim, and Andrew, We love you so much and won’t stop praying for you daily. We hurt with you so deeply and ache to see Nathan one day which we will! We are praying that God will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, that the God of all comfort will hold you with His right hand which is altogether good, and that His peace which surpasses all understanding will reign in you. We miss you so much and wish we could be there to keep hugging and holding, but we praise God for all those He is providing to continue to do that. We love you so much! David and Becky
